Contest Information

We’re thrilled to announce that submissions are now open for the 2026 Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) PRO Awards! These prestigious awards honor the outstanding marketing and communication efforts of California’s 116 community colleges and 73 districts during the 2025 calendar year.

Winners will be revealed on the final full day of the 2026 CCPRO Conference in beautiful Paso Robles, California. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your exceptional work!

Entry Fees

Early Bird: $40/entry for CCPRO members; $50/entry for non-members

Regular/Final: $60/entry for CCPRO members; $75/entry for non-members.*

Note: Non-members must adjust their entry fee in the online award portal as only the CCPRO member fee is displayed.

Payments are accepted by credit card.

Rules & Eligibility

How to Enter: All entries must be submitted online via our awards portal powered by BetterBNC. A secure online payment is required at the time of submission.

Who Can Enter: Any California community college or community college district is eligible to participate.

What to Enter:

  • Entries must have been published, aired, or printed for the first time between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
  • Each entry must adhere to the specific criteria and specifications outlined in the Category Descriptions and Criteria section.
  • Entries that fail to meet requirements or comply with submission instructions may be disqualified, with no refund of the entry fee.
  • The same entry cannot be submitted in multiple categories (unless it is also part of a Media Success Story and/or a Promotional Campaign).
  • All entries must be submitted under the name of the respective college or district. All submitted entries become the property of CCPRO.

Category Descriptions & criteria

Special Category Divisions: To ensure fairness for colleges with varying resources, the following categories— Brochures and Catalogs—are divided into two groups:

  • Division A: Colleges with fewer than three full-time equivalent professionals in marketing, public relations, advertising, and publications.
  • Division B: Colleges with three or more full-time equivalent professionals in these areas. Entries created or produced by an outside agency or designer must be submitted in Division B.

All entries must be submitted online.

PROmoter & All PRO Award Nominations

In addition to the PRO Awards, each year CCPRO recognizes two individuals with the PROmoter and All PRO Awards. Nominations are now open!

All-PRO Award

Nomination Deadline: January 16, 2026

CCPRO presents the All-PRO award annually to the individual in our ranks who stands out as among the best in our business. The All-PRO award is considered a lifetime achievement award, and nominations are solicited from CCPRO members/public relations professionals, college presidents, district superintendents, and chancellors.

Past All-PRO honorees serve on the selection committee.

PROmoter Award

Do you have a president, superintendent, chancellor, vice president, or another administrator who you admire and who deserves recognition? The PROmoter Award honors administrators who recognize the importance of strategic communication and demonstrate leadership in supporting public relations and marketing at their colleges.
